The glacier looks like an ice river with its crackly surface which runs between the rugged hillsides. Across from the landscape of fireweed is another hillside with its rough surface and green foliage.

Just below the colorful fireweed is a small platform with boulders and grass allowing a closer look at the glacier’s surface. A bright blue sky with soft wisps of white clouds add to the wonderful scenery of the Salmon Glacier.
