This stock photo includes Mount Kidd (2958 metres/9705 feet), during winter, Spray Valley Provincial Park, Kananaskis Range, Kananaskis Country, Canadian Rocky Mountains, Alberta, Canada. This scenic spot in the Canadian Rockies shows how rugged Mount Kidd is as outlined by the snowfall that rests upon it. Smaller mountains are seen on both side of Mount Kidd and the sky is sunny and blue, with lots of large fluffy clouds moving across it in the background. The foreground in this shot is filled by a stand of tall evergreen trees. The massive character of the mountain as well as its two separate peaks are best seen from the vicinity of Rocky Creek, a spectacular fold down which a series of waterfalls flows may be seen. Kananaskis Country is a 4,000 sq. km multiple use area located in the foothills and mountains of the Canadian Rockies west of Calgary. It is a diverse landscape including outstanding parks and a wide range of natural resources providing opportunities for social, cultural and economic benefits.
