This monument to Christopher Columbus has two stone columns with beautifully detailed caps sit on a platform. On top of the columns is another stone platform with a lion at the top of the monument. The lion is standing with his front paw on an orb.

In the middle of the surrounding the columns, is a bronze ship. Two sails sit on each side of the columns. The bronze of the ship shows signs of patina.

Beautiful trees are the backdrop to the monument. A bright blue sky adds to the background.
