This stock photo includes Fitzsimmons Creek Valley between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains during winter with the Peak 2 Peak Gondola 436 metres/1427 feet above, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Fitzsimmons Creek is a large creek in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, having its origins at the Fitzsimmons Glacier in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains. For half its length of approximately 10 kilometres, the creek courses a u-shaped glacial valley which separates two ski mountains of the Whistler Blackcomb resort, Blackcomb to the north and Whistler to the south. This photo shows a foot bridge crossing the creek which is laden with heavy snow on top of ice so that only a small portion of the creek can be seen flowing. Beyond the bridge rises a snow covered mountainside topped with tall evergreen trees and a clear blue sky. The Peak 2 Peak gondola cables are seen spanning the sky high above the mountain.
